FIXED-SCOPE GITLAB CI PILOT FOR DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES

Make failed pipelines easier to diagnose.

Recurring GitLab CI failures waste engineering time when the cause is buried in long job logs or unclear rules. In a 14-day pilot, SaveX reviews one existing project, makes an agreed CI change in a separate branch, tests it in a real pipeline and delivers a concise diagnostic playbook.

THE RIGHT STARTING POINT

For a team that already runs GitLab CI.

Best fit: an agency or product team with an accountable engineering owner, an existing pipeline and repeated failures or queue delays worth investigating. The buyer is usually the agency owner, CTO or engineering lead. We need a project URL and a short description of the pain to decide whether a pilot is appropriate. Do not send credentials or raw logs through the form.

WHAT THE PILOT DELIVERS

A safer CI change and a useful failure report.

  1. Review the current CI configuration, recent failures and the agreed success measure.
  2. Check pipeline rules and duplicate-pipeline risk; validate the configuration with GitLab CI Lint or simulation where supported.
  3. Implement only the agreed checks and safe diagnostic output in an isolated branch and Draft Merge Request.
  4. Verify the result in a real pipeline, then provide a short report: failing job, likely cause, evidence and next action.

We do not take over production deployment, expose secret values, enable continuous debug traces or change existing deploy jobs without a separate written scope. The pilot includes periodic review on agreed working days, not 24/7 on-call monitoring.

HONEST EVIDENCE

Tested on projects we own.

The Gate has passed internal CI checks, including a controlled failure drill that produced a compact classification. These are internal technical demonstrations, not client testimonials. We have not measured customer time savings or sold a pilot yet. Each customer engagement starts with its own baseline so the final report can show what changed in that project.

Example from our controlled drill: an intentionally failing job was classified as script_unknown. The concise report identified the failing job and next check without publishing a raw trace. This was a test, not a customer incident.

COMMERCIAL BOUNDARY

One project. Fourteen days. €490.

The introductory pilot covers one existing GitLab project and the agreed narrow CI change. Work outside scope is quoted before it begins. After a successful pilot, similar projects may qualify for an installation package; ongoing support is offered only when always-available monitoring and its recovery procedure have been verified. No subscription is required for the pilot.

A fit request is not a booking. A written scope and payment terms are agreed before work begins.
